Lead Vocalist Of Girl Group With Hit Songs Wows On "The King Of Mask Singer"

On the latest episode of MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer,” the identity of contestant Fortune Cookie was revealed!

During the May 12 episode, Fortune Cookie and contestant Lucky Letter faced off in the first round with a duet to Akdong Musician’s “Last Goodbye.”

After their battle, several of the panelists tried to guess the singers’ identities. Singer Kai remarked, “Fortune Cookie has a trustworthy voice, but I think she’s an actress, rather than a singer.”

Norazo’s Jobin stated, “I think Fortune Cookie is a comedian who’s good at singing. She might also be a voice actress, since her voice is good.” Yoo Young Suk added, “I felt something similar to Hwang Hye Young from Fortune Cookie. She properly interpreted this song.”

Unfortunately, Lucky Letter moved onto the next round with 52 votes to Fortune Cookie’s 47 votes. While singing Taeyeon’s “Four Seasons,” Fortune Cookie revealed herself to be MOMOLAND’s Ahin!

After singing the track, Ahin said, “I was really nervous because this is my first time appearing on a variety show alone.”

During an interview with the production staff, Ahin commented, “I’m the lead vocalist, not the main vocalist, but I’m so happy that I was so quickly presented with this opportunity. I’m really pleased that I was able to show others the charming aspects of my voice.”

Following the broadcast, Ahin shared photos of herself on Twitter and stated that she had a great time on the show. She then thanked her company’s employees, staff members, and show writers who helped her out.
