Kang Ho Dong Confirmed To Host New Variety Show About Siblings

Kang Ho Dong will be hosting a new reality show!

On May 14, the veteran comedian confirmed that he would be serving as the host for TV Chosun’s upcoming variety show “Brothers and Sisters” (working title). The new program will follow various sets of siblings as they go about their everyday lives.

Kang Ho Dong remarked, “When I first heard about the program’s subject matter, I was reminded of memories from my childhood, when I felt invincible because I was together with my older brother and sisters, so I happily agreed [to host the show]. I thought that it would bring back some of the emotions that we end up forgetting as time passes and we go about our lives.”

He added, “I wanted to be a part of watching [the siblings on the show], who previously took each other for granted because they were so close, as they become even closer emotionally.”

The producers of “Brothers and Sisters” expressed that they were looking forward to seeing Kang Ho Dong host the show, commenting, “Kang Ho Dong is a talented host who knows how to cause both real laughs and real tears, no matter who appears on the show. Therefore, he is an MC that is perfectly suited to ‘Brothers and Sisters,’ which hopes to present a completely honest family show, with no lies or falsehoods.”

They went on, “We plan to show siblings, who spent their childhoods together sharing secrets that even their parents didn’t know, getting to know each other better as adults.”

“Brothers and Sisters” is scheduled to premiere on May 31 at 11 p.m. KST.
