NU'EST's Minhyun Reminisces About Fond Food Memories In

NU’EST’s Minhyun looked back on some fond food-related memories during his recent appearance on JTBC’s “Let’s Eat Dinner Together.”

Minhyun appeared on the episode of “Let’s Eat Dinner Together” that aired on May 15 along with model Han Hye Jin. During the show, the MCs got to know him as they asked him various questions about his age, where he was from, and how he made his debut as a member of NU’EST.

He caught their attention when he shared that he’s from Busan and added, “I caught the eye of our casting director in Busan. I was eating chicken skewers near my school, and I was stuffing my face with them.” He laughed before adding, “My friends had dragged me to eat chicken skewers that day, and if I hadn’t eaten with them and just gone straight home, I wouldn’t be here right now.” Minhyun shared that he had always wanted to be a singer, and had even written down “Singer” as his dream job when he was in middle school.

Later on, once Minhyun was sitting down for dinner, he also talked about his early rookie days. Kang Ho Dong asked him, “Don’t you usually order a lot of food when you’re living in the dorms?” and Minhyun replied, “Getting food delivered can be pretty expensive, so we couldn’t do it often back when we didn’t have any income.”

But Minhyun shared that it didn’t matter much as, “Our members, we’re all from different hometowns. One’s from Gangwon Province, one’s from Jeju Island, two are from Busan, and one is from L.A. Our moms would send us side dishes from each region and we pooled money to buy a rice cooker together. Thanks to the food they sent us, we always had good food to eat.”

Minhyun is currently busy with promotions for “BET BET,” the title track of NU’EST’s sixth mini album “Happily Ever After.”
