Watch: "Produce X 101" Teases Intense Group Battles That Impress Special Guest MONSTA X's Joohoney

Mnet’s “Produce X 101” series has released a new sneak peek at the upcoming episode, where the trainees will battle it out in group performances!

The new episode will follow the trainees as they are re-evaluated based on their individual performance of the song “X1-MA,” where they have the chance to move up rankings or go down based on their mastery of the song. The team of mentors sit together and go through each trainees submission, and a few trainees are highlighted for their hard work.

The mentors also remark how the other trainees think the X grade students went home, when they’ve actually been training separately. They share their anticipation for what everyone’s reactions will be. The episode also features the return of mentor Bae Yoon Jung, and the trainees look shocked and a little scared by her aura.

Then, the show also gives insight into the group battles, where two teams will perform different songs from the boy group and see who comes out on top. The upcoming episode will show performances of songs by EXO, GOT7, and NCT, and snippets of the exciting stages are included.

Joining the mentors is MONSTA X’s Joohoney, who watches each performance intently and gives his own insight.
