Ma Dong Seok's New Film

“The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil” is off to a strong start at the Korean box office!

According to the Korean Film Council, the new action film officially reached a total of 1,039,881 moviegoers on May 18, making it the third-fastest movie with a 19+ rating to achieve the feat. “The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil” took just four days to reach the milestone (the film was released in Korea on May 15), putting it on par with Ma Dong Seok’s past hits “The Outlaws” and “New World.”

Additionally, “The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil” has remained No. 1 at the box office for all four days since its release, making industry-watchers curious to see just how far the film will go.

The action thriller, which has already been confirmed for an American remake also starring Ma Dong Seok, tells the story of an organized crime boss who becomes the target of a serial killer but manages to survive the attack. Both the crime boss and a fierce detective who is passionate about catching criminals find themselves embarking on the same quest: to track down the serial killer known only as K.

Congratulations to the film’s cast and crew!
