GOT7's Yugyeom Talks About His Friendship With BTS's Jungkook

GOT7 appeared on the May 21 episode of JTBC’s “Idol Room.”

During the show, GOT7’s Yugyeom said, “I am close friends with chef Lee Yeon Bok and BTS’s Jungkook.” He explained, “When I was 19 years old, we went on the ‘MAMA’ stage together with them. Then we exchanged phone numbers and became close friends. We are ’97 liner friends.”

The ’97-line friend group includes BTS’s Jungkook, ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo, GOT7’s BamBam and Yugyeom, and SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu, DK, and The8. The members continue to meet up occasionally.

MC Jung Hyung Don jokingly commented, “If you’re selected by Yugyeom, they all seem to become stars. Who do you want to pick in GOT7?” Yugyeom picked Youngjae as the icon of 2019.
