The identity of Unimaginable Masked Identity was revealed on MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer”!

On the May 26 episode of the singing competition, eight new contestants faced off for the chance to become the 103rd “King of Mask Singer.”

Unimaginable Traffic Jam and Unimaginable Masked Identity opened the competition with a duet, covering G.NA and Wheesung’s “Nice to Meet You.” Unimaginable Traffic Jam’s smooth vocals and Unimaginable Masked Identity’s clear voice created a romantic atmosphere.

In the end, Unimaginable Traffic Jam won with 58 to 41 votes and advanced to the second round, while Unimaginable Masked Identity remained on stage to reveal her face while singing Rain’s “I Do.”

Unimaginable Masked Identity turned out to be none other than APRIL’s Chaekyung! The idol previously appeared on Mnet’s “Produce 101” and debuted in project groups I.B.I and C.I.V.A before joining APRIL in 2016.

After the broadcast, Chaekyung shared her thoughts on social media. On Twitter, she wrote, “Unimaginable Masked Identity on today’s ‘The King of Mask Singer’ was me, Chaekyung. Were you surprised by my sudden appearance? I was so happy that I was able to sing such a sweet song for Fineapples [APRIL’s official fan club].”
