Watch: “Master In The House” Cast Films Epic Action Scene Complete With 3-Car Collision And Gang Fight

The members of SBS’s “Master in the House” put their best foot forward with stunt actor Jung Doo Hong.

On the May 26 episode, Lee Seung Gi, Lee Sang Yoon, BTOB’s Yook Sungjae, and Yang Se Hyung continued getting action lessons from their newest master.

They learned to jump from 3 meters (approximately 10 feet) before eating a protein-centered dinner. Jung Doo Hong told them that although he usually keeps his body light, he bulked up in Hollywood by eating six meals a day.

Jung Doo Hong also opened up about suffering from racism when he went to Hollywood with Lee Byung Hun and told the story of how he was able to overcome discrimination with his hard work. They wrapped up dinner with Jung Doo Hong’s announcement that they would be planning a digital script together for a drama.

The next day, the actors held on top of a moving car. Lee Seung Gi drove the car while Yang Se Hyung got on top of the car and acted in front of him. Lee Seung Gi comforted Yang Se Hyung by telling him that he had tried this before and reassured him that he would not fall off. Yook Sungjae was the next person to try this scene. Wanting to experience the inside of a racing car, Yang Se Hyung and Lee Sang Yoon got inside while Jung Doo Hong added the kidnapping of the female lead to the story.

The next part was rolling onto the ground after getting hit by a car. Lee Seung Gi was wearing a safety suit and became the first person to attempt this scene. After the final lesson, the cast began filming the digital script which turned into a blockbuster including a three-car collision.

They decided to change the crash scene with a stunt actor and put a wheel under the wheel to film the car spinning, all of which are tactics used by Jung Doo Hong for safety measures. He said that he lost many colleagues while being in this line of work for a long time and that this is a job with many injuries.

Under the supervision of their master, the cast resumed filming safely, and Jung Doo Hong ordered sugar glass which cost 2 million won (approximately $1,686) per sheet. The shattering glass added a sense of realism when an actor’s face hit the glass, and they rehearsed meticulously in order to film without any mistakes.

They concluded by filming the car crash with experienced actors, and three cars crashed into each other at the same time without any mistakes. As soon as the shoot was over, they checked everyone’s safety.
