Song Mino Asks Viewers To Anticipate P.O's Addition To "Kang's Kitchen 2"

WINNER’s Song Mino has raised the public’s anticipation for the upcoming season of tvN’s “Kang’s Kitchen.”

Prior to releasing the new album “WE” and making a comeback with WINNER, Song Mino partook in the filming of tvN’s “Kang’s Kitchen 2” along with Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun, Eun Ji Won, Ahn Jae Hyun, Block B’s P.O, and more.

Song Mino commented, “We finished the filming of ‘Kang’s Kitchen 2’ well. I had fun and worked hard while filming [the show]. I appeared in the first season as well, and I participated in this season with a mindset to work hard and not be burdensome to the other members of the show.”

He continued, “I had to make the comeback immediately after filming ‘Kang’s Kitchen 2,’ and thanks to our members, who wrapped up the album preparation well even without me, we were able to successfully make a comeback.”

The WINNER member then went on to discuss the image that has been established for him from his appearances in variety shows and its effect on his image as a musician.

Song Mino responded, “I’m thankful. I’m grateful just to be able to film with seniors that represent the Korean variety show industry and have fun at the same time. I’ve felt the separation between my image in variety shows and image as a musician since a long time ago. I was even confused when I suddenly started receiving love for ‘New Journey to the West.’ When my popularity grew and my image in variety shows became more prevalent, I worried that the image would make people view me with biased opinions when promoting as a musician.”

He added, “I talked to seniors such as Eun Ji Won, who have had the same problem as me before. All of them told me the same thing. They told me to ‘just do well.’ Therefore, I came to a conclusion that I will continue to do well in variety shows the way I’ve been doing and also work hard as WINNER’s Song Mino, and then people will recognize [my hard work]. I will become a person who puts his best effort into everything he does so that you will be able to see diverse sides of Song Mino in many different areas.”

When asked what to look out for in “Kang’s Kitchen 2,” Song Mino answered to look out for the addition of P.O in the show. The idol member responded, “My friend P.O will be joining the show. P.O has been my closest friend since before we entered the entertainment industry. We always talk about how we are happy and thankful for receiving so much love. I think it will be good for viewers to look forward to [P.O’s] role in the show.”

Song Mino concluded, “We will return with a larger-scale show. So many people came by, and the members poured our hearts and souls into paying back [their interest in the show]. A lot happened in the process. Please look forward to the show.”

“Kang’s Kitchen 2” will premiere on May 31 at 9:10 p.m. KST as the follow-up to the current series “Korean Hostel in Spain.”
