WINNER’s Lee Seung Hoon Apologizes For His Actions Toward BTOB’s Ilhoon On “Idol Radio”

May 27, WINNER’s Lee Seung Hoon made an official, public apology for some of his actions toward BTOB’s Ilhoon during an appearance on MBC’s “Idol Radio.”

During the show, Ilhoon asked Lee Seung Hoon if he wanted to wrap things up on the show, and Lee Seung Hoon jokingly turned him down, using the papers in his hand to knock Ilhoon on the head.

Although Lee Seung Hoon is two years older than Ilhoon, Ilhoon is a senior (sunbae) in the industry, having debuted with BTOB two years before WINNER, which calls for a certain level of respect and etiquette in Korean society. As a result, following the broadcast, some Korean netizens expressed displeasure with Lee Seung Hoon’s actions and demanded an apology.

In response, Lee Seung Hoon promptly tweeted an apology, saying, “During today’s ‘Idol Radio,’ in an attempt to wrap things up in a fun way, I hit Jung Ilhoon sunbaenim in the head, and for that I apologize. I also want to apologize to Melodies, who may have been hurt by what they saw. I will be more careful in the future..”
