JUNE Talks About Producing Tracks For BTS And His Time As A Big Hit Trainee

On June 3, singer JUNE held a press conference for the release of his first studio album “Today’s.” During the press conference, the singer talked about participating in producing many hit tracks of BTS, as well as why he thought promoting as a solo artist was better for him.

JUNE has already established himself as one of the most sought-out producers of all time, and he participated in producing and writing the lyrics for a number of BTS tracks such as “Lost,” “Awake,” and “Not Today,” as well as Suran’s “WINE” and “Love Story.”

The singer stated, “I’ve worked on numerous tracks in the past, but I’ve never produced a track while thinking, ‘This one will do well.’ I continued to do exactly what I’ve always done, and the tracks naturally turned out to be successful. I do not feel pressured about my album doing as well as the tracks that I’ve written for other artists.”

While he used to be a trainee under Big Hit Entertainment, JUNE ultimately made his debut as a soloist under a different agency.

The singer revealed, “I wasn’t planning on becoming an idol member even when I was training under Big Hit Entertainment. I was getting ready for everything on top of making a debut as a soloist, but I’ve always been a bit independent because I had been writing tracks since I was young. Producer Bang [Si Hyuk] noticed that side of me, and I got to learn how to produce [tracks].”

JUNE’s first studio album “Today’s” will feature a total of 10 tracks, including the title track “Tonight,.” The album will be released on June 3 at 6 p.m. KST.
