Teen Top Discusses Changes With Comeback + Supporting UP10TION Members On "Produce X 101"

On June 4, Teen Top held a showcase for their new mini album “DEAR. N9NE.”

Niel shared, “This is our ninth mini album and Teen Top released it to celebrate our ninth anniversary. We were very involved with the album, so I’m looking forward to it, and I was happy throughout the preparation.”

Chunji described their new title track as he said, “‘Run Away’ is about running away from any worries or uncertainties and taking your own path. We hope many people will be encouraged by this song.”

The new song features a change in their performance. Ricky explained, “If it’s said that we focused on synchronizing choreography up until the previous album, we danced with an adult sexiness and understated beauty in this album. As you may be able to tell, it’s called body tap dance.”

Teen Top also discussed how UP10TION’s Kim Woo Seok (Wooshin) and Lee Jin Hyuk (Wei) are competing on “Produce X 101.”

When asked if they had given any advice, Changjo said, “We heard they were performing ‘No More Perfume On You,’ so we spent some time teaching them the choreography and giving them advice.”

Niel added, “Our friends told me that they were going to audition, so we filmed a support video. When we see them work hard and do well, we become proud and happy.”
