Son Heung Min Reacts To BTS's RM Showing Support For Him At Wembley Concert

Soccer player Son Heung Min shared his reaction to BTS‘s RM cheering him on!

BTS performed at Wembley Stadium in London, England on June 1 and 2, and during part of the first night’s show, RM sported a cap that read “SON” on the front and “Spurs” on the back. On the evening of June 1 local time, Son Heung Min was playing with his team Tottenham Hotspur F.C. in the 2019 UEFA Champions League final against Liverpool F.C. in Madrid.

While BTS performed their song “Anpanman,” RM pointed at the name SON on his hat as he rapped the line “I’m a new superhero, Anpanman!”

In an interview with Son Heung Min by “Football Magazine Goal,” Son Heung Min was asked if he’d heard about RM showing his support for him at the show.

“Yes, I heard about that,” said Son Heung Min. “My teammates have also asked me if BTS and I know each other. He supported me like that, but I wasn’t able to achieve a good result in the final, so I feel sorry about that.”

He added, “They’re famous in England too and famous around the world. So I hope that you will let them know that I’ll be cheering them on a lot too as a small supporter. Also, I don’t know if BTS’s fans will see this, but I hope you’ll let them know that I’m supporting [BTS] a lot. I’m grateful, and I’ll continue to cheer them on.”

BTS continues their worldwide “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” stadium tour with concerts at the Stade de France in Paris on June 7 and 8.
