Main Cast Of JTBC's

JTBC’s new Friday-Saturday drama “Chief of Staff” (also known as “Advisor”) is finally being unveiled tonight on June 14. With anticipation high as the drama will revolve around political aides, a profession that hasn’t been the center of previous storylines, Lee Jung Jae, Shin Min Ah, Lee Elijah, and ZE:A’s Kim Dong Jun each picked something to watch for in the upcoming series.

Lee Jung Jae – “Our lives, our individual stories”

The teasers and posters for “Chief of Staff” have elicited curiosity with the tagline, “Six grams of ambition, six grams of cost.” Lee Jung Jae explained, “Viewers will be able to gain meaning, laughter, and empathy as they watch the various characters and their ambitions.” He also added, “Politics isn’t something that is far away, it is in our lives and in our individual stories and the stories around us. ‘Chief of Staff’ will encourage viewers to take a look back on their lives, and that’s a good thing to focus on.”

Shin Min Ah – “The story of political Misaengs (Incomplete life)”

This will be the first time Shin Min Ah plays a congresswoman since making her debut as an actress, and she hopes to show a new side of herself. She explained, “‘Chief of Staff’ is a drama that reflects the greed and competitive lives of political misaengs.” The actress also stated, “As this is the first drama that deals with political aides, viewers will find lots of things to be intrigued about.”

Lee Elijah – “A story that transcends politics and is about one person”

Lee Elijah said, “As the story of political aides that has never been seen in a drama before, ‘Chief of Staff’ will be the start of real political play unfolding in front of viewers.” She also added, “Though it will be important to keep an eye on what each character does for their political careers, ‘Chief of Staff’ goes beyond politics and tells the story of people who do all they can to protect their lives and survive.” In Lee Elijah’s words, the drama will be one viewers can easily relate to.

Kim Dong Jun – “The story of political aides with various charms and characters”

Kim Dong Jun chose the charms of political aides who do their best for politicians as something to watch. He explained, “They will be met with various different incidents, and viewers should keep a keen eye on the decisions they make and how they change from it.” The tense political war that takes place between aides like Lee Jung Jae, Lee Elijah, and Kim Dong Jun will tell a riveting story that will keep viewers on their toes.

“Chief of Staff” will follow the dangerous gambles political aides play behind the scenes to change politics. The drama is set to premiere on June 14 at 11 p.m. KST.
