Girl Group Member Blows Everyone Away In 2nd Appearance On "The King Of Mask Singer"

The identity of “Zoo” has been revealed to be a lead vocalist of a talented girl group who was appearing on the show for her second time.

The June 16 episode of MBC’s variety show “The King of Mask Singer” followed four contestants as they battled it out to unseat the current king, Nightingale. The third stage of the second round had “Zoo” and “Chicken Soup” going head to head, with the former singing Lisa’s “Did You Even Love Me” and the latter performed Bobby Kim’s “Let Me Say Goodbye.”

The audience cast their votes and “Chicken Soup” moved on to the next round with 60 votes to 39 votes. “Zoo” took off their mask to reveal that it was none other than Oh My Girl’s Seunghee, who was back on the show for the second time after her first appearance in November 2015.

Talking about her first time on the show, Seunghee said, “I cried behind my mask. Back when I first appeared on the show, it was early into my debut so I was really nervous and I didn’t feel like I sang the way I wanted to, which left me with regrets.” She expressed satisfaction at her performances this time around as she said, “When I decided to appear this time, I told myself that I should just sing the way I want to.”

She continued to say, “I want to be a singer who is reliable and sings for a very long time. I want to be a singer whose voice people keep thinking about.” She smiled as she said, “I heard so many nice things today [from the celebrity panel] that I will definitely have to watch the show when it airs.”

After the show, Oh My Girl’s social media accounts shared photos of Seunghee posing with her mask.
