8 Sublime Solo Performances From MAMAMOO That Turned Heads

It only takes one listen to the group’s greeting, “I say MAMA-MAMA-MOO~” to know that these fine ladies have one of the most mesmerizing vocals in the music industry. With that in mind, Solar, Moonbyul, Wheein, and Hwasa have successfully charmed us on many occasions with their rich and versatile discography throughout the years. On top of their group activities, the members also treat us with solo renditions every now and then, and we’re here for it!

Today, in celebration of the serenading quartet’s fifth anniversary, we chose to shed light on some of MAMAMOO’s marvelous solo performances that made jaws drop. Check out the selection below!

1. Solar – “Only Longing Grows”

As part of her project album called “Solar’s Emotion” where she reprised many old classical songs, Solar delivered this goosebumps-worthy performance in such a way that it sends us on an emotional ride with every listen.

2. MoonByul – “Worthless”

We all know Moonbyul is a fiery rapper, but we sometimes tend to forget that her vocals are just as enchanting. Add to that an eloquent dance choreography and you got yourself the act of a lifetime!

3. Wheein – “Moderato”

Our lead vocalist stayed true to her name as she crowned her vibrant stage with utmost confidence while elegantly exuding her sexiness during the dance break.

4. Hwasa – “Be Calm”

If we can sum up Hwasa’s stage presence in one word, it would be bewitching. Oozing charisma and composure, our gifted artist knows how to run the show from her seat, and she doesn’t refrain from making it a moment to remember.

5. Solar – “Hello”

Our leader’s voice is so ethereal, it sends us on a spiritual journey as she captivates us with every note she hits. Her vocal abilities are simply on a whole other level!

6. Moonbyul – “In My Room”

This song is so mellow, it could easily pass for a soothing ballad. The amount of passion that surrounds this performance shows just how much heart the rapper puts in her music.

7. Wheein – “25”

Talk about an absolute jam! Combining serenity and good vibes, this laid-back set is an eternal mood, especially for those of us who are 25 and can relate to the lyrics in a way.

8. Hwasa – “Twit”

Everything about this track is set to make your head turn, from the catchy lyrics to the amazing vocal delivery, and of course, the aesthetics are just too extravagant to miss!
