“Reply” Series PD Shin Won Ho In Discussion To Make New Badminton Drama

PD Shin Won Ho of the “Reply” series and “Prison Playbook” may be making a new badminton drama!

Shin Won Ho was previously reported to be reuniting with the “Reply” series writer for the new medical drama “Doctor Playbook” (tentative title), which Jo Jung Suk is in talks for.

According to a report from OSEN, broadcast sources have stated that after first shooting the medical drama, the PD would be working on a drama about badminton and that they had recently completed some related auditions. There is reportedly no script nor a cast yet, and it is undecided whether the drama will focus on national badminton athletes or local badminton clubs.

On July 2, in response to the reports, a representative from tvN shared, “PD Shin Won Ho is currently focusing on his new medical drama. The badminton drama is one of many ideas being discussed and considered for his upcoming projects.”

After directing many popular KBS variety shows, PD Shin Won Ho rose to fame for “Reply 1997,” “Reply 1994,” “Reply 1988,” as well as most recent project, “Prison Playbook.”

Shin Won Ho is especially known for bringing rookie actors to fame, most notably, Seo In Guk and Jung Eun Ji from “Reply 1997,” Go Ara and Yoo Yeon Seok from “Reply 1994,” and Park Bo Gum and Ryu Jun Yeol from “Reply 1988.” Viewers are continuously impressed by his attentiveness to detail, and he is met with high viewership ratings as well as positive reviews for every one of his productions.
