Sulli Describes Change In Her Thoughts On Marriage And Having Kids

Sulli shared her thoughts on marriage and children during the July 5 episode of “Night of Hate Comments.”

While talking about marriage on the show, Shin Dong Yup asked Sulli, “When do you want to get married?”

Sulli replied, “When I was young, I wanted to get married as soon as I turned 20. But lately I wonder, ‘Do I have to get married?’ I wonder if I could not get married and have a child first.”

Sulli continued, “I’m worried in a way. I’m afraid about the process of changes that happen to your body when you have a child, and I think I’d feel a great sense of responsibility for the child.”

Kim Sook said, “Sulli’s thought a lot about this in a concrete way. I think it shows how women have changed.” She added, “When I was young, it was a basic expectation that marriage had to happen before you turn 30.”

She went on to say that in the past, she’d talked with her friends about how they should have get-togethers in the future once they have children. “At the time, my friends hadn’t gotten married,” Kim Sook said. “Lately, we talk more about work.”
