gugudan’s Kim Sejeong Describes Her Role In “Let Me Hear Your Song” And Working With Yeon Woo Jin
Kim Sejeong is doing her best in her latest acting project KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Let Me Hear Your Song”!
“Let Me Hear Your Song” is a mystery romantic comedy about a timpanist who loses all memory of the night of a murder and a suspicious tone-deaf man who enters her life.
Kim Sejeong explained her first impression of the drama, saying, “Because [the drama] isn’t a regular romance and has various aspects to it like mystery and music, I found it to be a [drama] with a novel feel.”
Kim Sejeong will play timpanist Hong Yi Young, who is looking for a permanent job and working odd jobs like teaching elementary school students and offering chauffeur services at night. Though she doesn’t have any spectacular skills and leads an eventless life, she lives with a heart full of passion. Many people are expecting Kim Sejeong to be a perfect match for this role.
She shared, “The character was very refreshing, and even though the drama is of a complicated genre, Hong Yi Young is simple and bold. As someone who thinks too much, I feel envious of Hong Yi Young, and at the same time, she’s a difficult [character].”
Acting opposite Kim Sejeong is Yeon Woo Jin (playing Jang Yoon), and she shared about him, “Yeon Woo Jin sunbae has a sweet and humorous personality. I was touched when he considerately came up to me to ask if there were any difficult lines.”
Kim Sejeong also commented, “Here, I think I will be able to learn, feel, and experience everything I need when taking on acting. I’ll work hard to learn and carry out my role so that I can grow and receive lots of love as the actress Kim Sejeong. I ask for your continuous interest.”
“Let Me Hear Your Song” premieres on August 5 at 10 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Perfume.”
