Chun Woo Hee Shares What’s Special About “Melo Is My Nature” And Her Role In The Drama
Regarding the reason she chose to star in the drama, she said, “The fact that it was a story about women in their 30s appealed to me the most,” and added that the drama portrayed things she could personally relate to in a refreshing way.
Chun Woo Hee will take on the role of quirky drama screenwriter Im Jin Joo. Though Im Jin Joo has an unpredictable, reckless personality, she also has a deeper, warmer side to herself. Chun Woo Hee described, “Jin Joo is about 10 degrees off from what you’d call ‘conventional,’ and she’s full of quirky tendencies. She doesn’t hesitate to say things and seems to act rashly, but if you look closely, she has a profound heart and completes her job perfectly.”
Im Jin Joo’s same-age friends Lee Eun Jung (Jeon Yeo Bin) and Hwang Han Joo (Han Ji Eun) are another part of the drama to look forward to. The three women experience a whirlwind of emotions as they live together. “I like that even though the characters all have very different personalities, they somehow fit together very well. We support and cheer each other on so I’m thankful, and the set is lovely. It’s very fun because we can exchange our energies with one another.”
Lastly, Chun Woo Hee shared, “‘Melo Is My Nature’ is a drama that will show a side of me I’ve never shown before. From the moment I opened up the script, I had a lot of fun reading it. You can look forward to the pleasant chemistry between the actors and the tasteful lines by director Lee Byung Hun. Please look forward to the unconventional drama ‘Melo Is My Nature’ and actress Chun Woo Hee.”
“Melo Is My Nature” is the work of director Lee Byung Hun who directed the box office success “Extreme Job.” The drama premieres on July 26 at 11 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Chief of Staff” and will be available on Viki with English subtitles. Watch a teaser below!
