Update: “Joseon Survival” Cancels This Week’s Broadcast, Reruns, And Event Following Kang Ji Hwan’s Arrest

A source from the broadcasting station said, “This week’s episode of ‘Joseon Survival’ will not air. Reruns will also not be broadcasted.”
Regarding the future of the drama, the source answered, “We need to have discussions with the production company. Things will be undecided until the production company’s stance is revealed.”
The source added, “There were plans for an event related to ‘Joseon Survival’ next week, but an internal decision was made to cancel the event.”

Following Kang Ji Hwan’s arrest on charges of sexual assault, TV Chosun’s “Joseon Survival,” in which the actor is starring, has been put in a very difficult position.
The drama, which premiered June 8, has only aired 10 episodes so far, with 6 episodes remaining.
A source from the drama said, “Filming for the drama is not complete. For now, we will have to wait to see what happens.”
Kang Ji Hwan’s agency likewise said, “Regarding the charges of sexual assault, once we are able to confirm what happened, we will be releasing a statement.”
Meanwhile, Kang Ji Hwan was arrested at his home on the evening of July 9, after allegedly committing sexual assault and indecent assault against two female employees from his agency, who had been at his house for drinks following a company dinner.
