Watch: Ong Seong Wu, Kim Hyang Gi, And More Are Buzzing With Excitement And Nerves At

JTBC’s “Moments of 18” has provided a glimpse of the chemistry between the cast during the drama’s first script reading!

“Moments of 18” centers around teens experiencing the impressionable age of 18, when even the smallest things can set off a whirlwind of emotions. The stories of each of the characters touches on real moments that any viewer may have experienced at some point in their life.

In a new behind-the-scenes video, Ong Seong Wu is shown as the first to arrive at the script reading. As it is his first time acting, he expressed his nervousness by saying, “My is beating like crazy.” He will take on the role of Choi Joon Woo, a lonely boy who has a difficult time expressing his emotions but has an unexpected cute side once you get to know him.

Next to arrive was Kim Hyang Gi, who plays model student Yoo Soo Bin. She sat next to Ong Seong Wu, who still showed signs of nervousness, and comforted him by confessing, “I’m nervous too. It’s okay.” As the word she used for nervous implies that the person is trembling, the two shared a laugh when Ong Seong Wu replied, “Are you sure it’s not because I’m trembling so much next to you?”

The video further features Shin Seung Ho, who Ong Seong Wu jokingly referred to as “Dad.” He appears in the drama as Ma Hwi Young, a student who seems perfect but has a dark side to him. Also present was Kang Ki Young, who plays the students’ enthusiastic homeroom teacher Oh Han Kyul.

Altogether, the cast showed passionate acting during the script reading and display fresh chemistry that matches the drama’s theme and builds anticipation for the premiere.

“Moments of 18” begins airing on July 22 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki.
