T-ara's Jiyeon Talks About Working With gugudan's Kim Sejeong In "I Wanna Hear Your Song"

T-ara’s Jiyeon has transformed into a violinist for KBS 2TV’s “I Wanna Hear Your Song”!

“I Wanna Hear Your Song” is a romance, comedy, and mystery drama about timpanist Hong Yi Young (played by gugudan’s Kim Sejeong) who loses all of her memory of the day when a murder occurred. She tries to recover the truth after meeting a mysterious tone-deaf man named Jang Yoon (played by Yeon Woo Jin).

On July 15, the drama released stills of Jiyeon as the gorgeous and talented violinist Ha Eun Joo. She’s someone who enjoys the spotlight and gets attention for her amazing performances, beautiful appearance, and haughty personality.

Jiyeon explained, “It’s a drama that feels new and not of one genre because it has various stories about mystery, music, youth, growth, and more. I want to do a good job of conveying the feelings of unfamiliar newness to the viewers.”

She continued, “Ha Eun Joo is someone who may appear haughty and reckless on the outside, but she is someone with a twist. Her charm is her duality that makes it impossible to hate her.”

In the drama, the T-ara member will work with Kim Sejeong as they portray college students together. The two characters will add more fun to the story as their characters are polar opposites with a long history.

“Kim Sejeong creates the atmosphere,” said Jiyeon. “She’s someone who gives off bright energy just by appearing [on set]. She’s so cute.”

She added, “I’m nervous that I’m meeting the viewers through acting after a long time. Since this a special project, I’ll do a good job. Please tune into ‘I Wanna Hear Your Song’ which you’ll have to continue watching after watching once.”

“I Wanna Hear Your Song” premieres on August 5 at 10 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki with English subtitles.
