Shinhwa's Minwoo To Be Completely Edited Out Of Upcoming Variety Show

Shinhwa’s Minwoo will be completely edited out of KBS 2TV’s upcoming variety show “Deok Hwa TV 2 – Deok Hwa’s Coffee House” (literal translation).

According to a source from “Deok Hwa TV 2” on July 18, “Minwoo appeared as a guest on the first episode [of the variety show] before the incident occurred, and we’ve currently finished all the filming. While there are many difficulties, we will be editing out the relevant parts for the broadcast. Although Minwoo was scheduled to guest on episode 3, his appearance is currently canceled.”

Recently on July 2, Minwoo was booked by the police on suspicion of sexual harassment of two women, including kissing by force. Minwoo’s agency Liveworks Company released an official statement soon afterwards stating that the incident was a misunderstanding and that the victims would withdraw the complaint. However, the police explained that they would be continuing the investigation because an indecent act by compulsion is indictable without a complaint. His case was forwarded to the prosecution after they found CCTV footage that confirmed the suspicions of indecent act by compulsion.

“Deok Hwa TV 2” centers around Lee Deok Hwa‘s coffee house away from the city and is scheduled to premiere July 23 at 8:55 p.m. KST.
