Lee Jin Woo Talks About "Produce X 101" Eliminations, Friends On The Show, Future Plans, And More

Former “Produce X 101” contestant Lee Jin Woo recently sat down for an interview and talked about his time on the show!

Lee Jin Woo participated in the Mnet survival show as a trainee representing Maroo Entertainment. He was able to gain a following for his lovable personality and great performances.

Lee Jin Woo began, “I lost about six kilograms [approximately 13 pounds] (since the show began) and grew taller too. I didn’t measure [my height] exactly, but I think I’m currently at 176 centimeters [approximately 5 feet 9 inches]. I want to grow to 183 centimeters [approximately 6 feet] after eating well.”

When asked about his elimination during the third ranking ceremony, Lee Jin Woo commented, “I was disappointed about being eliminated, but more than anything, I was so sad because I wanted to be with the hyungs until the end, but it seemed like I had to leave them without any preparation. I’m grateful to the hyungs. We’ve been through thick and thin together.”

He continued, “When my name wasn’t called at the final rankings ceremony at around rank 14 or 15, I was really nervous. But my training period was short, and I still have a lot to learn at the agency, so I’m going to focus and work hard to debut.”

Lee Jin Woo then talked about his personality, saying that although he had a cute appearance, he was actually mature and grown-up. He added, “[Nam Do Hyon], Lee Eugene, and I are 16 years old [by Korean reckoning], but those two are really like babies. The three of us were really close, but I once saw those two playing around by riding a chair with wheels around the cafeteria. They were so cute, like babies. I’m sort of like an adult.”

Lee Jin Woo finally said, “I’m going to work hard and stand on stage with a great performance, so please wait until then.”
