BLACKPINK’s “Kill This Love” is now the fastest K-pop group MV to reach 500 million views on YouTube!

The hit girl group released “Kill This Love” on April 5 at midnight KST, and by July 25 at 1:40 a.m. KST, it had already reached half a billion views. This means it reached the milestone in less than three months, 20 days, and two hours.

“Kill This Love” beats the previous record for a K-pop group MV to reach 500 million views, which BLACKPINK set last year when “DDU-DU DDU-DU” took five months, nine days, and 22 hours to hit the mark. This is also BLACKPINK’s fourth music video to surpass 500 million views, with their list also including “BOOMBAYAH” and “As If It’s Your Last.”
