JYP Publishing Begins Search For Teenage Songwriters

JYP Publishing, a music publisher under JYP Entertainment, has teamed up with online creative content platform Naver Grafolio for “Teenager,” a songwriter audition for teenagers.

JYP Publishing boasts an impressive lineup of songwriters, including Hong Ji Sang (Wonder Girls’ “Why So Lonely,” DAY6’s “Time of Our Life”), Shim Eun Ji (Baek A Yeon’s “Shouldn’t Have…,” TWICE’s “Yes or Yes”), Lee Woo Min (also known as collapsedone, wrote TWICE’s “Knock Knock” and “What is Love?”), Park Jin Young, and more.

For the “Teenager” audition, prospectives must submit two potential title songs, one for TWICE or ITZY, and one for GOT7, DAY6, or Stray Kids.

The top three songwriters from the audition will receive a creative scholarship as well as an invitation to JYP headquarters for a one-on-one mentoring session with a JYP producer.

Applications are being accepted from July 25 to August 20 on the Naver Grafolio website.
