EXO-SC Sets New Record On Weibo With Impressive View Count For Live Broadcast
EXO-SC has set an impressive new record on Weibo!
On July 25 at 9:30 p.m. KST, Sehun and Chanyeol held a live broadcast on Weibo for 45 minutes in order to celebrate their debut album. The two introduced their first mini album “What a Life,” talked about music and their food preferences, and played a mini game of billiards. During the broadcast, the number of concurrent viewers reached a record of about 2.12 million, making Sehun and Chanyeol the first Korean artists to reach over 2 million concurrent viewers. This is the highest number of concurrent viewers for Korean artists on Weibo.
Weibo posted on their official account on July 26 about the record, commenting, “Sehun and Chanyeol’s large influence in China has been re-verified,” and “EXO continues to make history.”
Meanwhile, Sehun and Chanyeol’s unit debut album reached No. 1 on iTunes charts in at least 46 different areas, hit No. 1 on China’s top music site QQ Music, and topped Korean charts Hanteo Charts, Synnara Records, and YES24 for album sales. Sehun and Chanyeol will also be appearing on the July 26 episode of MBC’s “My Little Television 2.”
