Fin.K.L Sheds Tears Together As Lee Hyori Speaks Candidly About Their Past

On the July 28 episode of JTBC’s “Camping Club,” the Fin.K.L members reminisced about the past during their second night of camping in Gyeongju.

Lee Hyori spoke honestly about her experience going from a girl group to a solo artist. She said, “People asked me if I felt like there was something missing when I went solo after being part of a group. At first, I was so excited. I was so happy to do the music I wanted to do. The music was the most important thing to me.”

She continued, tearing up a little, “I had fun because I could do whatever I wanted. But because of that, I didn’t take your feelings into consideration at first.”

Although she tried to hold back her tears at first, she eventually apologized to the other members and said, “I feel really sorry about that. I didn’t think about you when I should have led you as an older sister because I knew you were having a hard time.”

Sung Yuri and Lee Jin also teared up and accepted the apology. Through her tears, Sung Yuri said, “We were all busy just living day to day. We didn’t think about you either. We were so busy living our lives that we didn’t take your feelings into consideration either.”

Fin.K.L was a four-member girl group that made their debut in 1998 and is considered to be part of the “first generation” of K-pop in the late 1990s to early 2000s. While they never officially disbanded, the members eventually drifted apart to pursue solo careers.

“Camping Club,” which premiered on July 14, is a cross-country camping trip reality show in which the members reunite and talk about old times while sharing new adventures together. The show will be available on Viki.
