Jo Jung Suk Shares His Admiration For “E.X.I.T” Co-Star YoonA
On July 29, Jo Jung Suk was interviewed about his upcoming movie “E.X.I.T,” and when the topic of YoonA came up, he shared, “I always say this, but I was a fan of Girls’ Generation’s YoonA. While filming, I realized she was amazing.”
He praised her, saying, “In fact, I had a lot of scenes that were tough in their own way, but the female character in the script had a lot of physically challenging scenes. But YoonA chose this movie. There were a lot of physical encounters while filming, but she did a great job. I’ve said many times that she’s good at acting, but I didn’t know that she was so physically fit and athletic and good at running.”
Jo Jung Suk continued, “YoonA seems to have that side because she’s a good dancer. I wasn’t the only one who thought this. The director did, too. From the director’s point of view, the character Eui Joo was really good at running and climbing the wall, so he wondered if she would run well and if she had fundamental physical fitness, but I remember the entire crew being surprised.” He added while laughing, “There was a scene where she had to jump over the hurdle, and it was quite high, but I didn’t have to worry about her. She was truly amazing.”
The actor concluded, “Anyways, I was happy because I’m a fan of YoonA. I had a good time while filming.”
“E.X.I.T” is a new action film that follows an unemployed man named Yong Nam (played by Jo Jung Suk) and Eui Joo, a fellow member of his college rock climbing club (played by YoonA), as they attempt to escape a city poisoned by a mysterious toxic gas.
The movie is scheduled to premiere on July 31. In the meantime, check out the trailer for the film here!
