Update: Ahn Bo Hyun Confirmed To Join Park Seo Joon In New Drama

“Itaewon Class” is an upcoming drama from JTBC about stubborn and brave youths who join forces in an unfair world and open a food business in the Itaewon neighborhood in Seoul. It is based on a Daum webtoon of the same name.
On August 22, Ahn Bo Hyun’s agency, FN Entertainment, stated, “Ahn Bo Hyun has confirmed his casting in ‘Itaewon Class’ and will play the antagonist to Park Seo Joon’s character.”
Ahn Bo Hyun will be playing the role of Jang Geun Won, the eldest son of the corporation Jang Ga Group. Jang Geun Won is egotistical and a troublemaker who is enemies with Park Sae Roy (Park Seo Joon) from their first meeting. Oh Soo Ah (Kwon Nara) is also involved in a love triangle between them.
“Itaewon Class” will premiere sometime after the end of “Chocolate,” which itself is set to premiere in December.

On July 30, News1 reported that Ahn Bo Hyun would be joining the cast of JTBC’s “Itaewon Class” (literal translation).
However, a source from the actor’s agency FN Entertainment told Star News, “It is true that Ahn Bo Hyun has received an offer to appear in ‘Itaewon Class,’ but nothing has been decided yet.”
“Itaewon Class” is based on a popular Daum webtoon of the same name and tells the story of a group of stubborn and brave young people who rise up in an unfair world and open a food business in the neighborhood of Itaewon in Seoul. Park Seo Joon, Kim Da Mi, and Yoo Jae Myung have already been confirmed to star.
Ahn Bo Hyun was offered the role of Jang Geun Won, the accident-prone son of Jang Dae Hee (played by Yoo Jae Myung).
