Update: WINNER, BTOB, HyunA, And More To Perform At 2019 K-Asian Festival + Lineup Changes Announced

Updated August 13 KST:

2019 K-Asian Festival (hereafter 2019 KAF) has released an official statement regarding the lineup changes for its K-pop concert.

Below is the full translation of their statement:

This is an announcement from the KAF concert.

Firstly, the concert on August 25 will take place as scheduled.

However, unfortunately, MAMAMOO, Kim Jae Hwan, and fromis_9’s appearances will not be happening as a result of the casting agency’s mistake.

As the organizers [of the event], we deeply apologize to fans for causing trouble due to our careless management of the casting agency.

As the organizers, we will take full responsibility for the cancelation of tickets that result from the change in performers.

The concert will be held as scheduled with the remaining artists and additional performers. The additional fees that result from the cancelation of tickets will be refunded by the organizers after receiving refund requests starting August 16.

We will announce the requesting method later, so please remember your reservation numbers.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for our poor management of the casting agency’s mistake.

We will do our best to create a successful concert.

Updated August 13 KST:

RBW Entertainment announced that MAMAMOO will not be performing at the 2019 K-Asian Festival anymore.

Below is the agency’s statement:

“We urgently announce that [MAMAMOO’s appearance in] the 2019 K-Asian Festival, which we revealed the ticket purchasing information for today (August 12 KST), has been canceled due to the organizers’ circumstances. We ask fans for their understanding, and please contact Ticketlink regarding refunds for the tickets.”

Updated August 13 KST:

Kim Jae Hwan will no longer be performing at the 2019 K-Asian Festival.

His agency’s statement is translated below:

Hello. This is Swing Entertainment.

We are writing regarding questions about performing at the 2019 KAF (K-Asian Festival) on August 25.

Artist Kim Jae Hwan’s appearance had been confirmed because his contract for the performance stated ‘the event is a free event in which entrance fees will not be collected.’ However, the contract was violated when tickets for the event were being sold for money. Thus, we have confirmed that [Kim Jae Hwan] will not be appearing at the 2019 KAF (K-Asian Festival) on August 25.

We hope there won’t be a misunderstanding with fans regarding his appearance, and we will do our best to make sure that a situation like this doesn’t happen again in the future.

Thank you to fans who are always supporting Kim Jae Hwan.

Thank you.
