Watch: YoonA And Jo Jung Suk Celebrate Their New Film

Girls’ Generation’s YoonA and Jo Jung Suk’s new movie “E.X.I.T” is a box office hit!

On the morning of August 2, just two days after its premiere on July 31, CJ Entertainment announced that the film had officially surpassed 1 million moviegoers. The company stated in its official press release, “As of [August 2 KST], ‘E.X.I.T’ has recorded a total of 1,011,342 moviegoers.”

Notably, “E.X.I.T” reached the 1 million mark faster than the hit films “Extreme Job,” “Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds,” “Veteran,” “The Thieves,” “Assassination,” “Ode to My Father,” and “Miracle in Cell No. 7,” all of which ultimately went on to surpass 10 million moviegoers at the box office.

Additionally, not only did “E.X.I.T” surpass both “Extreme Job” and “Veteran” in terms of opening-day ticket sales, but it also became the first Korean film after the award-winning movie “Parasite” to take No. 1 at the box office for two consecutive days this year.

In order to celebrate the film reaching a new milestone, stars YoonA and Jo Jung Suk shared a fun video of themselves expressing their gratitude to moviegoers. The clip begins with Jo Jung Suk saying, “Because you showed so much love for our film ‘E.X.I.T,’ ‘E.X.I.T’ has surpassed 1 million moviegoers. So we’ve prepared a short but memorable song for you.”

YoonA and Jo Jung Suk then bust out two ukuleles and serenade viewers with a new version of their S.O.S signal from the movie in which they repeatedly sing the words “Thank you.”

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “E.X.I.T”!
