Watch: ITZY Struggles To Identify A 90s Song In "Mafia Game In Prison" Teasers

tvN’s “Mafia Game in Prison” shared a few previews of ITZY’s upcoming guest appearance on the show.

In one preview, ITZY made their entrance by dancing to their debut track, “DALLA DALLA,” as well as their latest song, “ICY.” After introducing themselves, Ryujin shared that she was a huge fan of the show and when her manager had asked them what variety shows they wanted to go on, she had immediately picked “Mafia Game in Prison.”

In another preview, ITZY’s Yuna, who was born in 2003, went up against Lee Soo Geun (born in 1975) to identify a song based on a clip shown onscreen. Both teams had trouble identifying the song until the production staff gave them clues: the song was from a co-ed group that had debuted in 1994 (Roo’ra).

While the other ITZY members figured out the song based on their teammates’ discussions, Ryujin said ruefully, “[Yuna] won’t know it.” Kim Jong Min commented, “She didn’t even exist in 1994, right?”

Even after the song was identified, the team with mostly younger members had trouble singing the correct lyrics. Even Choi Ye Na, who is older than the ITZY members, told Kim Jong Min, “I don’t know this song.”
