Ong Seong Wu And Kim Hyang Gi Embody Youthful Innocence On Set Of 'Moments Of 18'

JTBC’s “Moments of 18” has unveiled new behind-the-scenes stills that show off the cast’s fresh and innocent charms!

Main leads Ong Seong Wu and Kim Hyang Gi captivated viewers in just four episodes with their sensitive and pure acting that delicately captures the inner feelings of inexperienced 18-year-olds. The drama achieved first place on Good Data Corporation’s list of buzzworthy Monday-Tuesday dramas, and Ong Seong Wu and Kim Hyang Gi were ranked first and seventh respectively on the list of buzzworthy actors.

In the newly-released images, Ong Seong Wu and Kim Hyang Gi display refreshing visuals that remind viewers of their first loves. Ong Seong Wu makes hearts flutter with his bright smile that contrasts the dark shade of the greenery-lined street. The idol-turned-actor is receiving good reviews for his emotional performance as the lonely teenager Choi Jun Woo, and he livens up the set with his signature cheerful energy.

The stills also include Song Geon Hee, who plays Jun Woo’s former best friend Shin Jung Hoo. Although he and Ong Seong Wu are dirty from throwing their whole bodies into shooting a scene, they are all smiles, creating a warm atmosphere on set.

Kim Hyang Gi further disarms viewers with her sunny smile as she films the legendary heart-fluttering ending scene in which her character, Yoo Soo Bin, meets Jun Woo in the rain. She brightened up the shoot with her fresh smile despite being drenched. The actress shows off warm yet strong charm in her role as an ordinary 18-year-old girl, evoking deep sympathy as she struggles to follow the path set by her ambitious mother (played by Kim Sun Young) and making hearts pound as she provides the sole source of faith and comfort for Jun Woo. Viewers are curious to see the changes that these two characters will experience as they slowly fall for each other.

A producer for the drama stated, “The message of the drama is being conveyed well through the actors’ honest and sensitive portrayal of their characters’ complicated emotions. Please look out for the down-to-earth emotions and appearances of these 18-year-old youths.”

“Moments of 18” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. KST.
