15&’s Park Jimin To Leave JYP Entertainment After 7 Years
Park Jimin will be parting ways with JYP Entertainment.
On August 6, JYP Entertainment announced, “After discussion with Park Jimin, the decision was made to not renew her contract.”
Regarding fellow 15& member Baek Yerin, JYP Entertainment shared, “No decision has been made yet regarding Baek Yerin’s exclusive contract.”
Park Jimin became known by winning on SBS’s “K-Pop Star,” and after signing with JYP Entertainment in 2012, she formed a group with Baek Yerin called 15&. The duo debuted with “I Dream” and continued to release songs loved by many such as “Somebody,” “Can’t Hide It,” “Sugar,” and more.
Last year, Park Jimin released a solo album titled “jiminxjamie” along with the title song “April Fools (0401).” Baek Yerin also returned with her solo album “Our Love Is Great” and her title track “Maybe It’s Not Our Fault” earlier this year.
