Uhm Ji Won, Sung Dong Il, And Jo Min Soo Confirmed For “Train To Busan” Director’s New Thriller Drama
“Method” is a mystery thriller drama about reporter Lim Jin Hee, who has a clear sense of justice and is trying to uncover the truth behind the nation’s largest IT company Forest. She eventually meets a girl named So Jin who has strong superhuman skills with a special ability, and the two fight against injustice together.
Already, the drama has gained much interest from the public after it was revealed that Yeon Sang Ho will be writing the script. Yeon Sang Ho is the director of the hit movie “Train to Busan,” which reached the 11 million viewer mark, and “The Fake,” the animated film behind OCN’s “Save Me 2.” People are highly anticipating the drama now that the actors who are confirmed as leads are ones that have proven their skills in various genres and shown their unique colors.
Uhm Ji Won will be taking on the role of Lim Jin Hee, the reporter fighting for justice. With upright beliefs and a strong passion for reporting, she takes on Forest’s assault case, only to learn about a suspicious subsidiary. Previously, Uhm Ji Won has shown off her detailed acting skills in “Spring Turns to Spring,” and the films “The Odd Family: Zombie On Sale,” “Master,” and “Missing.”
Meanwhile, Sung Dong Il will make a drastic transformation as IT company Forest’s chairman Jin Jong Hyun. After making a successful comeback following an exorcism, Jin Jong Hyun begins to rely on Shamanism. Known for often playing the role of a gentle and affectionate father, Sung Dong Il is set to greet viewers with his new role as a powerful evil character.
Finally, Jo Min Soo will be playing Jin Kyung, the head of Forest’s subsidiary, which is a spiritual consulting company. Having shown off her powerful presence in “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion” and “Pietà,” she is gaining the public’s attention once again with the anticipation for her skillful performance.

“Method” will be directed by Kim Yong Wan, who has directed the film “Champion,” and produced by Lezhin Studio. The drama will begin filming in the second half of 2019 and premiere in the first half of 2020.
