Watch: Ong Seong Wu Shows Off His English Skills On Set Of

JTBC’s “Moments of 18” has released a new behind-the-scenes video!

The clip opens with the cast filming the English free-talking test between Oh Je (played by ASTRO‘s Moonbin) and Da Heen (played by Kim Bo Yoon). Kang Ki Young, who plays the class’s homeroom teacher Oh Han Kyeol, asks the two, “Are you the same age?” Kim Bo Yoon jokes, “We’re the same age!” but Moonbin clarifies that he was born in 1998, while Kim Bo Yoon was born in 2001. Kim Bo Yoon then tells a funny story about how Moonbin insisted that they were born in different generations. Kang Ki Young backs Moonbin up by stating, “There’s a huge difference between 1998 and 2001,” and Moonbin triumphantly says, “See!”

The cast’s banter and close relationship off-camera gives the feeling that they are all actually classmates. After Da Heen confesses to Oh Je during their scene, Shin Seung Ho, who plays Ma Hwi Young, and Yoo In Soo, who plays Yoo Pil Sang, can be seen joking around in the corner, which sparks the jealousy of Moonbin. The playful conflict ends with the three making hearts at the camera.

Outside, Ong Seong Wu prepares for his English-speaking scene with Kim Hyang Gi and Kang Ki Young. The three share a laugh as they mess around with the pronunciation of “zombie.” Ong Seong Wu also divulges his method for pronouncing the words “apple” and “notebook” more like a native speaker, to which Kang Ki Young jokes, “It’s like I’m watching an educational program.”
