AB6IX’s Lee Dae Hwi and Jeon Somi showed off their close friendship in a video for Fanta!

On April 19, it was announced that the two idols were chosen as joint brand models for the drink, as they are known for being close friends since middle school.

In a new video posted on Coca-Cola Korea’s YouTube channel on August 8, Lee Dae Hwi and Jeon Somi got together for a fun outing. They started out by picking outfits for each other from Fanta’s merchandise, joking around, and holding an impromptu fashion show in the store.

The pair then shared a meal together, with Lee Dae Hwi commenting, “This reminds me of the spicy rice cakes we used to eat in front of the agency when we were trainees.” Jeon Somi began a conversation about their recent activities, asking, “How is promoting with AB6IX?” Lee Dae Hwi said, “Now is just the beginning, so we have to do even better.” He went on to compliment Jeon Somi for her solo debut with “BIRTHDAY,” commenting that she was like a pop star with her style.

They also met up with comedian Nam Chang Hee for a drive to Han River. In the car, Jeon Somi and Lee Dae Hwi began talking about their first impressions of each other. Jeon Somi stated, “Dae Hwi’s first appearance was pretty embarrassing. He was kind of a nerd.” Lee Dae Hwi then said about Jeon Somi, “I thought she was older than me. She had been in the company for longer and had a powerful force, so I used formal speech with her at first. Then, I found out from the staff that we are the same age, and that’s when we started to become close.”

Lee Dae Hwi further revealed that the extreme change in his surroundings from when he was a trainee until now gave him a lot of stress, and during that time, he would call Jeon Somi almost every day and they’d talk for as long as three hours. Jeon Somi also conveyed her gratefulness to Lee Dae Hwi as a friend, saying that he was a big source of help when she was getting started with songwriting.

The friends also tested how much they know about each other through a quiz. On one question, Jeon Somi guessed correctly that one of Lee Dae Hwi’s insecurities is his eyelids. Lee Dae Hwi explained, “I only have a double-eyelid on one side, so it doesn’t come out very nice in pictures. But my fans like it, so now I think of it as one of my charms.” Jeon Somi added, “He would always ask me, ‘Somi, which side is better?'”
