Police Place Travel Ban On Yang Hyun Suk
Police have placed a travel ban on former YG Entertainment head Yang Hyun Suk, according to a report by No Cut News.
On the morning of August 20, the news outlet reported that the ban was placed after Yang Hyun Suk was booked for habitual gambling last week, at which time authorities reached the decision that Yang Hyun Suk is a flight risk, meaning they believe he may try to leave the country to avoid prosecution.
July 17, Yang Hyun Suk was officially booked on suspicions of mediating prostitution. He was booked once again on August 14 for gambling, after which police conducted a search and seizure of YG Entertainment on August 17.
In a recent update, police revealed that as soon as they complete analysis of the documents seized from YG Entertainment as well as the bank accounts related to prostitution mediation, they will be summoning Yang Hyun Suk and Seungri — who is also being investigated for gambling and prostitution mediation among a number of other charges — for questioning.
