MBC’s “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” continues to hold on to the top spot in its time slot!

While the competition among Wednesday night dramas for the past few weeks has been fierce, often with less than one or two percent separating first and second, “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” has managed to consistently take the lead.

According to Nielsen Korea, the August 21 broadcast of “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” recorded viewership ratings of 4.3 percent in the first half and 6.2 percent in the second half. The first half increased by 0.1 percent from last week, while the second half decreased by 0.3 percent from last week.

KBS’s “Justice” was in second by less than one percent, recording ratings of 5.0 percent in the first half and 5.8 percent in the second half. While its first half scored higher ratings than the first half of “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung,” media outlets typically calculate the “winner” of the time slot by the second half ratings. Ratings for both halves of the August 21 broadcast of “Justice” saw an increase from last week, albeit also an increase of less than one percent.

SBS’s “Doctor Detective” came in third in the time slot with ratings of 3.5 percent and 4.0 percent.
