Cha Eun Woo + Shin Se Kyung’s 1st Kiss Boosts “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” Ratings; “Mr. Temporary” Soars To New All-Time High
Both MBC’s “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” and OCN’s “Mr. Temporary” enjoyed a rise in their viewership ratings last night!
According to Nielsen Korea, the August 22 episode of “Mr. Temporary” scored an average nationwide rating of 3.8 percent, marking its highest viewership ratings yet. The thriller drama stars Yoon Kyun Sang as an accomplished lawyer who goes undercover as a teacher at an elite high school to investigate a murder.
Meanwhile, MBC’s “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” also saw an increase in its ratings from the night before. The August 22 episode of the historical romance drama featured Prince Yi Rim (played by ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo) and Goo Hae Ryung (played by Shin Se Kyung) finally sharing their first kiss after being thwarted earlier on, and it appears that viewers tuned in to see the sparks—the broadcast scored average ratings of 4.9 percent and 7.1 percent nationwide, with the second half achieving significantly higher ratings than the first.
KBS 2TV’s “Justice” similarly saw its ratings rise for its latest episode, with the August 22 broadcast scoring average ratings of 5.3 percent and 6.2 percent nationwide. SBS’s “Doctor Detective” scored average ratings of 3.1 percent and 3.5 percent for the night, while tvN’s “When the Devil Calls Your Name” trailed with an average rating of 2.1 percent.
