Watch: Gong Hyo Jin And Kang Ha Neul Make Hearts Flutter In Preview For New Rom-Com Drama
KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “When the Camellia Blooms” (literal title) has released its first teaser!
“When the Camellia Blooms” is a new series that will tell the stories of three couples in different stages of love. Dong Baek (played by Gong Hyo Jin) and Yong Shik (played by Kang Ha Neul) believe anything is possible with love, while people around them scoff at their belief in the power of love.
The new teaser begins with Yong Shik tightening his shoelaces and passionately running with a smile on his face. He hints at his direct, straightforward approach to romance, saying in voice-over, “If you like someone, run straight ahead.” After running through the neighborhood, he calls out Dong Baek’s name as he arrives in front of her store Camellia.
When she hears her name, Dong Baek turns around and tells him that the store isn’t open yet. She shyly asks, “Do you want to eat peanuts before you leave? The peanuts are free.” Yong Shik then clutches his heart out of joy and nervousness, and the two smile shyly at one another.
“When the Camellia Blooms” marks the reunion of writer Im Sang Choon of “Fight My Way” and producing director (PD) Cha Young Hoon of “Are You Human, Too?“, who last collaborated three years ago on “Baek Hee Has Returned.” Pan Entertainment, the production company behind many small-screen hits including “Winter Sonata,” “Moon Embracing the Sun,” “Doctors,” “Fight My Way,” and “Degree of Love,” will be producing the drama.
“When the Camellia Blooms” premieres on September 18 at 10 p.m. KST as the follow-up to “Justice.” Check out the teaser below!
