Tiffany Describes What Girls' Generation Members, Fans, And "Into The New World" Mean To Her

Tiffany described her past and current relationship with Girls’ Generation.

On August 5, the girl group celebrated their 12th debut anniversary together. After 10 years of group promotions, each member is currently focusing on their individual careers. Despite their busy personal and professional lives, Girls’ Generation gathered for Tiffany’s birthday in August as well as their debut anniversary.

In an interview with MK Sports, Tiffany smiled as she reminisced about her memories with the members.

“[Being a member of] Girls’ Generation was an amazing career because all of the members put their strength together and moved forward,” said the singer. “It feels even more special because we were all of the same mind. When the members were together, YoonA said, ‘Why does it feel like I saw you yesterday?’ I felt the same way and I wouldn’t have been able to endure the hard times without the members. The members are the ones who loved all of the different sides of me and are precious people who will believe in me no matter what happens.”

She continued, “Everyone was surprised when they heard that Girls’ Generation would be resting on our 10th debut anniversary. Girls’ Generation was always the first to do things that hadn’t been done before, and we had always promoted separately and together. So after our 10th debut anniversary, we got together and had a serious conversation among ourselves. For the first time in 10 years, we’re carrying out the activities that we want at the time that we want while cheering for each other and being by each other’s sides. Because I believe that we’ll reunite and promote when the time is right, I don’t feel anxious, and my mind is at ease.”

Speaking about her favorite Girls’ Generation song, Tiffany said, “‘Into the New World’ is a song that has my heart. Many of our seniors sang it, but it’s a fateful song that came to us. Each part fit us well, and I still think it’s the best song. At the time, I wanted to rest after completing the many scheduled activities we had, but also felt so excited and enthusiastic. It was so fun to promote back then that I still remember it.”

“Music and the members came to me when I needed a home and family,” concluded Tiffany. “Our fans became the roof. As each year passed, there were good things and bad things. But the reason why I was able to make it here with an unchanged positive mind is because I’m making music and because we’re thinking of each other. I don’t think there’s a greater expression than ‘thank you.’ We wouldn’t be here if our fans weren’t here. I hope we can shout ‘Girls’ Generation’ forever and keep moving forward together.”
