Shinhwa’s Eric and Jung Yu Mi Turn Down Roles In “Que Sera Sera” Remake

Shinhwa’s Eric and Jung Yu Mi will not be appearing in the new version of “Que Sera Sera.”

In June, it was announced that the two actors were in talks to star in a remake of their 2007 MBC drama “Que Sera Sera.” It was unconfirmed whether the remake would be a new version of the original drama or a second season that continues from where the series left off.

On August 28, it was revealed by both actors’ agencies that they have turned down the offers.

A source from Eric’s agency TOP Media explained, “We had only been reviewing the offer, and we hadn’t decided on anything. We have now decided to pass on it.” Similarly, a source from Jung Yu Mi’s agency Management SOOP shared, “We were positively reviewing it, but we have decided to turn it down.”

News outlet Ilgan Sports cited an industry source who stated, “The drama ‘Que Sera Sera,’ which gained attention due to Eric and Jung Yu Mi’s reunion, is undergoing rearrangements. They are searching for a new cast now that Eric and Jung Yu Mi have stepped down from it.”

Ilgan Sports also reported that the drama is now looking for a rookie actor for the male lead role. Filming will begin as soon as the casting is complete, and the drama is scheduled for broadcast in the first half of 2020.
