Im Soo Hyang And Lee Jang Woo's New Mystery Drama "Graceful Family" Achieves Its Highest Ratings Yet
MBN and Dramax’s new drama “Graceful Family” is on the rise!
“Graceful Family” is a new mystery melodrama about the secrets of an elite chaebol family behind a top Korean conglomerate. The drama stars Im Soo Hyang as Mo Suk Hee, a brainy and beautiful heiress who is on a secret mission to uncover the truth behind her mother’s murder from 15 years ago, and Lee Jang Woo as Heo Yoon Do, a passionate but inexperienced lawyer who ends up helping her on her quest.
On August 29, the fourth episode of “Graceful Family” achieved the drama’s highest viewership ratings yet. According to Nielsen Korea, the latest episode scored an average rating of 2.9 percent nationwide—higher than any rating ever achieved by the drama’s predecessor “Level Up,” the MBN drama that previously occupied its time slot.
In the public broadcast network realm, KBS 2TV’s “Justice” beat out MBC’s “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” in a close battle for Thursday night viewership ratings. The August 29 episode of “Justice” scored average viewership ratings of 5.7 percent and 6.2 percent, while “Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung” trailed close behind with average ratings of 4.4 percent and 6.9 percent. Meanwhile, SBS’s “Doctor Detective” scored average ratings of 2.8 percent for both of its two parts.
OCN’s “Mr. Temporary” scored an average rating of 3.5 percent—the same as its previous episode the night before—while tvN’s “When the Devil Calls Your Name” drew an average viewership of 1.6 percent for the night.
