Less than an hour after midnight on September 1 KST, BTS’s Jungkook took over Twitter’s worldwide trending topics as fans took to social media to celebrate his birthday.

Hashtags related to Jungkook’s birthday took over the top five trending topics on Twitter, and keywords related to his birthday also appeared three more times in the top ten as of 12:30 a.m. KST.

A few hours before midnight, Jin shared a screenshot of a KakaoTalk conversation that took place on August 29. In the conversation, Jin wished Jungkook a happy birthday and said that he was sending it early in case he forgot later on. In the caption to the tweet, Jin wrote, “I was first, Jungkook.”
