SHINee’s Taemin Tops Oricon’s Weekly Albums Chart For 1st Time As Solo Artist With “Famous”

SHINee’s Taemin is at the top of Oricon’s weekly albums chart!

Taemin released his third Japanese mini album “Famous” on August 28 and after being at the top of the daily albums chart, he has also topped the weekly albums chart as well.

This is the first time that Taemin has reached No.1 on Oricon’s weekly albums chart since making his solo debut. Taemin has proven his influence as a solo artist on top of SHINee’s widespread popularity in Japan.

On September 3, Oricon announced Taemin’s achievement on their official website with the title “SHINee’s Taemin’s third Japanese mini album becomes his first solo No.1 album.” The album contains a total of six tracks from title track “Famous” to “Slave,” “Tease,” “Exclusive,” “It’s You,” and “Colors.”

Congratulations to Taemin on the monumental achievement!
