HALO's Ooon, Yoondong, And Heecheon Confirmed To Appear On

HALO’s Ooon, Heecheon, and Yoondong will be getting a second chance at debuting through “Produce 101 Japan.”

“Produce 101 Japan” recently released the profiles of the 101 trainees who will be participating in the season. Of the trainees, three stood out as members of the group HALO. Ooon, Heecheon, and Yoondong will be going back to being trainees as they participate in the survival show under their real names Jung Young Hoon, Kim Hee Cheon, and Kim Yoon Dong.

In their introductions, Jung Young Hoon wrote, “I will work hard for my dream and to protect my family, and get up to No.1.” Kim Hee Cheon said, “I will work hard to show that my life up to this point was not in vain,” and Kim Yoon Dong said, “I want to live up to the expectations of my family and friends who have believed in me. I will work hard.”

HALO made their debut in 2014 and was active in both Korea and Japan. In May, their agency High Star ENT confirmed that their exclusive contract with the members had expired in April, and the members have gone their separate ways.

“Produce 101 Japan” will be co-produced by CJ ENM and Yoshimoto Kogyo. Japanese citizens will become the nation’s producers to vote on the top 11 trainees who will then move on to debut as a project group in 2020.

We wish Jung Young Hoon, Kim Hee Cheon, and Kim Yoon Dong all the best in the show!
