Shin Ye Eun To Reportedly Star Opposite INFINITE's L In New KBS Drama

Shin Ye Eun may be joining INFINITE’s L in his upcoming KBS drama!

On September 4, Korean news outlet Ilgan Sports reported that Shin Ye Eun would be starring in L’s new drama as the female lead. According to the report, an industry insider claimed, “Shin Ye Eun has been decided as the lead for KBS 2TV’s drama ‘Welcome,’ which will air in March of next year.”

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Welcome” is a fantasy-romantic comedy about a cat who transforms into a human. Last month, L confirmed that he would be starring in the drama as Hong Jo, the warm-hearted cat who helps heal his lonely owner’s emotional wounds.

Shin Ye Eun will reportedly be playing the role of Kim Sol Ah, a puppy-like woman in her mid-twenties who loves people and tries her best to protect those around her. However, she is surrounded by people who cause her heartache, including her cat-like father and the man for whom she harbors an unrequited love—who always seems just barely out of reach. Despite her insistence that she dislikes cats, Kim Sol Ah ends up making the life-changing decision to bring a cat into her home.

After rising to fame in the hit web drama “A-TEEN,” Shin Ye Eun starred opposite GOT7’s Jinyoung in the tvN drama “He is Psychometric” earlier this year.

“Welcome” is currently scheduled to premiere in March 2020.
